William H. Pillsbury
Will is a veteran attorney with a decade of experience advising and representing businesses and nonprofits in a range of legal issues.
Over the last decade, Will has represented many different sized businesses and nonprofits on labor and employment, insurance recovery, board management, and commercial litigation issues. He has appeared before many federal and state courts, including the United States Supreme Court, the Third Circuit, and the Pennsylvania Superior Court. Will brings experience of the law and a commitment to working with his clients to assist them in reaching their goals.
Prior to forming his own firm, Will was a partner with Offit Kurman and an associate at Anderson Kill & Olick. His practice areas included labor and employment, insurance recovery, and commercial litigation. Will has taken his deep knowledge of these areas of law to focus on assisting small businesses and nonprofits as outside legal counsel. He brings his experienced problem solving skills and effective advocacy to provide superior legal guidance for his clients.
Will also had the honor of being a judicial law clerk on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He also has been recognized by his peers as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer for 2015 and 2016 and a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer Rising Star from 2012 through 2014.
Prior to entering law school, Will worked in nonprofits. He was the Development Coordinator for the Greater Philadelphia Food Bank and spent a year working for the Congressional Hunger Center, including working on the Northern Cheyenne Reservation in Montana helping form and grow a variety of charities providing aid to the reservation. In early 2019, Will joined the board of the CASA Youth Advocates, Inc. and now chairs the governance committee of CASA Youth Advocates, Inc. In late 2018, Will joined the board of the Creekside Co-op and assisted in its dissolution process. Will also serves on the Vestry of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church of Elkins Park.
Will resides in Elkins Park with his wife and child. He is an active member of his community and currently serves on the Human Relations Committee, Human Relations Commission, and the Economic Development Task Force for the Township of Cheltenham.
